Nikki
Office Manager
Nikki brings over 25 years of customer service experience and has worked in dentistry since 2013. Beginning her career as a dental assistant, she has contributed to the development of future assistants through mentoring and education. With prior experience in hotel management, Nikki successfully transitioned into the business side of dentistry while maintaining her commitment to patient engagement – her true passion. Relocating from Nashville allowed her to be closer to her family and her daughter, a recent graduate of the University of Florida. Outside of work, Nikki enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities, being out on the water, riding motorcycles and traveling.
Sandi
Office Administrator
Sandi has been a valued member of the Dr. Horton team for seven years. Originally from Ohio, she relocated to Florida to leave behind the harsh winters and now fully enjoys life in the Sunshine State. With 30 years of experience in dentistry, Sandi brings a deep understanding of the field to her role. She began her career as a dental assistant, a position she held for 15 years before transitioning to the front office. Wanting a change while staying connected to dentistry, she discovered a passion for the business side of the practice—especially navigating insurance processes to help patients maximize their benefits.
Outside of the office, Sandi enjoys strength training, golfing, and spending time at home with her husband and their energetic 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier.
Liz
Hygienist (Cleaner Extraordinaire)
Liz has worked for Dr. Horton for more than 20 years with more than 30 years of experience in the field. She has continued to build on her experience through post-graduate education which included graduating cum laude with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati in 1982. Liz lives in Tampa with her husband, Mike, and enjoys yoga, hiking, cycling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Over the years, Liz has volunteered her skills to the public by offering hygiene services and dental education through her involvement with the Hillsborough County Dental Hygiene Association.
Monica
Dental Assistant
My name is Monica, and I have been a dedicated member of Dr. Horton’s team since May 2020. With 14 years of experience in dentistry, I am proud to be an accomplished dental assistant who strives to provide excellent support and care. I am a mother to three wonderful children. Although they can be quite the handful, I adore them most of the time and cherish the moments we share together. In my spare time, I enjoy nothing more than getting some rest and snuggling with my beloved fur boy, Blu Bear. These simple pleasures bring me comfort and happiness. I may be a bit unhinged, but my intentions are always good. One of my favorite aspects of working with my colleagues is playfully irritating them and sharing gummy bears that we cleverly hide in a drawer from the doctor.

A Little Extra Comfort
This is Chloe, an important member of the Horton family and a sweet presence around the practice. Her calm nature and warm personality have made her a favorite among many of our patients. She’s often happy to offer a little reassurance and a friendly hello during your visit. Because dentistry should feel as comfortable as it is exceptional.
